World Bread Day - Peanut Bread
The World Bread Day is an event for all bakers in the world, and for anyone who wants to join the commemoration of a simple food that has been part of diet since prehistoric times. World Bread Day (World Day of Bread) was created by the International Federation of Bakers (UIB) to dedicate a day to the history and future of bread, to share the bakers work, exchange views on the raw material from which many varieties of bread are made. Every corner of the world has much to offer here, bread is worldwide highly consumed food that unfortunately at the moment in some countries is not worth its real value.
For this special day I decided prepare a Peanut Bread and is really delicious!
Ingredients
(makes 1 loaf)
250 g strong white flour, plus for dusting
1 teaspoon of sea salt
150g crunchy peanut butter
7g dried yest
1 tsp soft brown sugar
175ml warm water
50g sweet and chilli roasted peanuts
How to prepare
Dissolve yeast in the warm water. After place all ingredients in a bowl and knead with your hands, or if you prefer use a kitchen Aid with the Dough Hook to knead the dough for about 7/10 minutes. Go sprinkling, if need, with flour when kneaded until the dough does not reap the hands. Mix the roasted peanuts and work the dough for one more minute a When the dough is ready, form a ball and save it covered with cling film in a warm place to rest for 1 hour.
Grease a baking tray. Punch any air out of the dough and mould into sausages shape. Roll them one in the other to make a tress. Leave to prove for about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Dust the loaf with flour and bake for about 25 minutes.
Bon appetit
